goCY Group

Application Form

You now have the possibility of getting a friendship group from YWCA or YMCA internationally.
goCY gives you the possibility of inviting your friends or to go on a visit.
If you are a group of students you can arrange your own field study trough goCY.
Local to local visit, work camps and study trips are some of the opportunities you have as a group going on exchange.

If you are a group of students you can also apply for goCY.
In February 2003 the first goCY exchange of 6 students returned back from a field study in India. One of the students, Lars Kristian Stendahl says the following about the exchange: “The visit to India was very successful. The work of Ranchi YMCA is incredible. What impresses me most is the holistic thinking that influences all their work.
YMCA develops the whole society through equal partnership with the local leaders and citizens of Ranchi”.

If you want to work as an intern, go on a study trip or do a field work with one of our partners you start with sending us an e-mail with a brief description of yourself, what you think you can contribute with and your motivation for going on exchange. Then we contact our partners and find out if this fits in with their needs and plans. When all these details are ready, you can fill out and send in an goCY application to apply for funding. Guidelines are given under ‘How to apply’.

If you do not have any exact plans, but want to go on exchange some where, send us an e-mail on
gocy@kfuk-kfum.no and we will take the discussions from there.
